Weddings at Minterne House

Minterne House & Gardens offer the benefit of a complete wedding day in one place, whether you would like a Civil Ceremony, a sit-down dinner or for larger weddings, there is a site opposite the main house for marquees.

Nestling in the breathtaking setting of the Cerne Valley, Minterne’s tranquil surroundings are a photographer’s paradise. The East Terrace overlooking the lake is a perfect spot for your & your guests to relax with champagne and enjoy the landscape.

Exclusive use of the house & garden on your wedding day means that you & your guests can celebrate in style; Minterne House is approached by its own private drive.

Here at Minterne we are delighted to offer 4 en-suite rooms, all individually decorated with fine fabrics and furnishings to reflect their character and historical context. Each of the rooms has stunning views of the surrounding countryside and parkland. There are a range of hotels within a 15-minute drive for guests who wish to stay nearby. Minterne is available for weddings and receptions all year.

A Testimonial

"This delightful house and grounds offered the ideal setting for our special day. The booking process was simple and effective and the service continued to be exemplary. The Trafalgar room looked great on the day and was just how we imagined it would look from visiting and the photos. My bride really enjoyed staying the night before and entering the service down the grand staircase. Special thanks to Henry who made us feel very welcome, relaxed and nothing seemed to be too much hassle. The weather was great for our service and the grounds and house provided a great backdrop for photos. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options for all tastes. Thanks to all involved at Minterne."

"Don't think you could improve our experience of the garden. Lovely in May last time, (stunning really!) and so lovely along streams this time."
